March 25: The last Victory cargo ship moored in the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet was towed to San Francisco Ship Repair on March 17. The SS WINTHROP VICTORY will be scraped clean of marine growth and loose exterior paint in preparation for her last trip through the Panama Canal on her final voyage for recycling in Brownsville, Texas. WINTHROP VICTORY is the fourth Maritime Administration (MARAD) vessel towed from the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet since October 2009.
