The 1977-built, 7,600 gt MV ROCHDALE ONE (ex AYVAZOVSKY, CARINA, PRIMEXPRESS ISLAND) arrived at Rotterdam under tow by the ocean-going tug NEPTUN 9 from Amsterdam today. The former Soviet cruise ship was in use as student accommodation at Amsterdam between 2004 and 2009 and has spent the past two years in layup. ROCHDALE ONE will be moved to Gravendeel for layup and is being offered on the sales market for $1.2 million.

Hans Hoffman was on hand to document the ship’s passage. All photos are by and copyright Hans Hoffman 2011.
