Woman Falls From QUEEN MARY In Long Beach

A woman is reported in critical condition after falling some 75 feet from the Hotel Ship QUEEN MARY in Long Beach Harbour, CA.

Long Beach Fire Department firefighters received a call at about 8:35 p.m. Monday that a woman had fallen off the ship in to the water and a 40-year-old man jumped about 15 feet into the water to rescue her. The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition while man also was admitted to a hospital for treatment of hypothermia.

Two Long Beach police officers who also jumped in the water to help with the rescue were not injured.

The circumstances of the woman’s fall are not clear.
