A New SILHOUETTE Is Cut

Celebrity Cruises’ saw the first evidence of their next ship, at a special ceremony at Meyer Werft’s shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, today. The button was pressed activating the very first cuts of steel that will become the next ship in Celebrity’s Solstice Class fleet, Celebrity SILHOUETTE. Like her sister ships — Celebrity SOLSTICE, EQUINOX and ECLIPSE S which enters service in April — the 122,000-gt SILHOUETTE will offer a half-acre of real grass and a glass-blowing show. The 2,850-passenger  SILHOUETTE be delivered in the Autumn of 2011
