Maiden Call For DISNEY DREAM
|
DISNEY DREAM made her maiden call at Port Canaveral, Florida on January 3. This third unit and largest in the Disney Cruise Line fleet arrived following a two-week journey from Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany to her new home port.
DISNEY DREAM will make her official maiden voyage January 26, following sea trials with members of the travel industry and Disney employees.
The new US$900-million vessel was toured by media members through selected areas, but the ship was not yet “open” for complete inspection. A SEA TREKS blog from roving reporter Peter Knego will be forthcoming.

Nice looking vessel, the bridge is very QM2 looking.
Having just seen her in the company of the Carnival Pride and Ventura it is nice to see Disney’s efforts pay off with the attention they are known for giving their designs. Though not much of a departure from the earlier ships Disney built their efforts often appear lavish when compared to the rest of the industry.
Considering the appearance of most new builds, that is a very good looking vessel! Nice bow, too!
I could definitely take a cruise on that boat.

Other than the water coaster on the port side the new Disney ship is gorgeous. In my opinion better looking than QM2.
