PS WAVERLEY Cruise To Celebrate QE2

Members of the “TheQE2Story” discussion forum for the QE2 will come together on the 1947 Clyde-built Paddle Steamer WAVERLEY and also gather at the Clyde-based Titan Crane on June 27.  Rob Lightbody (who runs TheQE2Story.com) states, “The original purpose of the discussion forum was to keep the QE2’s legendary story alive after she retired and disappeared from view; however, with the current uncertainty and confusion over the famous ship’s future, we also now serve as a news and resource hub on the internet”.     I heard a rumor somewhere……………..forget where I read it that the QE2 was possibly to be put up for sale to begin sailing again. Under differant owners of course. Who Knows…………………

    The Paddle Ship Waverley is a delight. We had a family excursion on her in the 1970’s in Scotland with full afternoon tea in the Dining Room. It must be a proud owner that continues to provide this unque sailing experience on the seas around the UK.
