Hi Martin,
First time for comments on your very informative web site. The Southward was the sister ship ship to P&O Spirit of London ex Sun Princess. I sailed on the Spirit of London as an cadet engineer in 1973 when she was brand new. I was wondering if you have heard what has happend to the original Spirit of London, last time I heard she was laid up in Port Kelang and ready for her final trip to Alang, do you know if this happened?
Also was has become of the original Pacific Princess I was an engineer on her from 1975 to 1978, I think she is rotting away somewhere in Greece
Hello Gareth and welcome, to the best of my knowledge former SPIRIT OF LONDON (ending up as the NEW FLAMENCO and FLAMENCO I) is still laid up near Singapore.
As for PACIFIC PRINCESS not much has changed since Peter Knego’s piece on her at in lay up …

Hi,
Any news on the whereabouts and current operation of this ship. I would love to get back on it. Honeymooned on it as Seawing. Want to take the kids on her.
Many thanks
Simon
Looking on AIS it appear she’s still in Ashod, that’s all a quick look could get me today
I sailed on her when she was the SOUTHWARD for Norweigian Cruise Line on a 4 night cruise from LA to Ensenada,San Diego and return to LA.
It was a very nice cruise.I was just starting to cruise,I have now done 37 and this one was my 3rd.The cabin, and outside was very small..but as I am and always go single outside,it was adequate. It was a very nice mini-vacation for me from my work schedule.
