S/S NORWAY Historian’s Memories In Print
|
“S/S NORWAY: Memories in Imagery” by Devon M. Scott arrived, printed by Lulu, (an online publisher.) The slim book is a square, 8 x 8 inch format, with high gloss cover and coated pages, clearly a product of one who loved his ship. On the welcome page, Devon Scott (who joined the crew as Ship’s Historian) describes his publication as “this odd assortment of images from my time on board”. And it is is just that, a charmer of a soft back 25 page booklet packed with over 50 of Devon’s photographs from the NORWAY. What makes this collectible is his eclectic collection of the images, both of well known views but also many odd and usually often missed interiors spaces. Each picture is captioned in Devon’s personal style.
Devon’s book is a personal memory of a great ship much missed. S/S NORWAY: Memories in Imagery http://tinyurl.com/SSNorwayPhotoBook

Pity he did not find and use my evocative painting of ‘Norway departing Miami’ made from direct experience…
Lovely, poignant painting of the Norway.
